A popular option for dancers in Year 6 and over who, using the core dance skills they have already learnt,  want to explore their own creative way of moving. Our classes focus on combinations of freedom of movement and floor work.

Class details

Beginners and Junior Contemporary 

  • 30 minutes

  • Beginners Contemporary (Years 6 & 7)– Mondays at 4:20 – 4:50pm

  • Junior Contemporary (Years 8 & 9) – Wednesdays at 6:15 – 6:45pm

  • £62 for a 10-week term

Senior Contemporary

  • 45 minutes
  • Year 10+
  • Wednesdays at 7:40 – 8:25pm
  • £71 for a 10-week term

Meet the teacher

Mya has a degree in Dance and Drama in Contemporary Culture from De Montfort University Bedford and has trained in Street Dance in London. She has taught GCSE Dance and is Zumba qualified. Mya’s experience spans from Primary to Adult dance, children’s theatre and adult fitness groups. She also has strong creative skills in choreography for all ages.
